Combat: Introduction

    Combat in the S&M world is intended to be a creative adventure, challenging players to come up with interesting and unique methods of problem solving, rather than hacking and slashing.

    There are no classes or archetypes: all soul types can act defensively or offensively, and may use any stat or ability they have acquired - unless conditions have been created where something is unavailable to use.

    The formula for rolls is as follows:

    Dice + Stat(s) + Conditions (+/-) + Ability + Weapon/Item = final roll.

    This is relevant to all damage, defense and challenge (success/failure rolls).
